The Role

The identification of defects in our software at the earliest possible stage and always before release to the wider business or our customers is fundamental to the ongoing success of CIPHR. The Quality Control Analyst must be focussed on achieving the highest levels of quality in the most efficient and effective manner. Ensuring that customer retention and business growth are maximised through high levels of quality across our product and service offerings.
The Quality Control Analyst is expected to support the Release Manager in reviewing the quality of software produced by the business, driving quality and suggesting and implementing improvements to the core Quality Control function in line with business strategy.

  • Create detailed Tests that describe the scope, activities and schedule of testing, from which a thorough set of Test Cases can be created.
  • Design and maintain Test Cases in accordance with the agreed Test Plan which verify that the software or product being tested appropriately meets all explicit and implicit product requirements and user stories.
  • Execution of tests, reacting to failures in accordance with documented processes and procedures
  • Generation of detailed Test Reports upon completion of testing for stakeholders within the business.
  • Creation and maintenance of automated tests that improve efficiency of the testing cycle without sacrificing quality.
  • Build and nurture excellent working relationships with colleagues.
  • Provide training and support as appropriate to other members of the Quality Control team in order to grow the department’s collective knowledge and build upon our internal development and support philosophy.
  • Complete projects and tasks as assigned by the Release Manager
