About the role:

As a Business Development Team Leader, you will play an intrinsic part in the ongoing success of Ciphr, and our Business Development department.

Our Business Development team are responsible for researching new sales opportunities, identifying what is trending in the market and keeping an eye on our competition. The team build long-term trusting relationships with potential customers, book initial sales chats and support our sales team in building new customer partnerships.

You will report into our Head of Business Development and will be responsible for managing, coaching and developing our fast-growing Outbound Business Development function.

  • You will responsible for managing Ciphr’s growing Outbound Business Development function of 4 Business Development Executives, and oversee day-to-day Outbound BD activity, providing direction and guidance to all team members
  • You will inspire and enable your team; coach them on best practice and business process, review and manage performance, support their ongoing development, and optimise their contribution to the wider sales function.
  • You will drive an ever-evolving team and support the growth of the department by finding and developing new talent
  • Alongside the day-to-day management of the Outbound BD team, the role requires you to maintain a small pipeline of prospective opportunities – enabling you to find new sales opportunities and demonstrate best practice to your team.
  • Develop and manage targeted campaigns to create new opportunities and increase Ciphr’s market penetration.
  • Review sales forecasts with the Head of Business Development on a weekly basis and provide regular team performance reports and feedback.

About You:

  • Sales experience required, management experience helpful, but not necessary.

  • Organised and has an eye for detail.
  • Can coordinate the teams outreach campaigns based on the Business Development activity schedule
  • Ideally has experience of using Dynamics CRM and/or Saleloft
  • Remain calm under pressure and are someone a team can look to for advice and guidance
  • Proactive, with a ‘make it happen’ attitude.
